As everyone knows, the most important place to visit in Mysore is the Mysore Palace. When we were planning our trip, we had only a few places in mind. We are the category of people who don’t relies many options. Our first choices were “Wayanad,” “Ooty,” “Stay in a Resort,” and “Mysore.” However, towards the end of July, a landslide happend in Wayanad, so we decided to quit our plans to visit Wayanad and Ooty. We also realized that the kids would surely get bored if we opted to stay in a resort, so we omitted that out too. Finally, we decided to visit Mysore.
Once we reached to Mysore, we knew only about the Mysore Palace. Before starting our trip, we talked a lot about it. My best friend, particularly loves sculptures and paintings, so we were excited to see the palace in that aspects. We entered with high expectations, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We even shared our experience virtually with our beloved family.
Mysore Palace is a must-see place and is truly a beautiful palace. It is located in the center of Mysore and is especially famous during the Dussehra festival. The palace is beautifully illuminated during the evenings of Dussehra. During Navaratri, both the palace and the surrounding streets are decorated with vibrant lights. We are already looking forward to our next visit, hopefully during Dussehra time. I hope it happens soon!
